Once in a while, as we navigate this increasingly unhinged timeline we’re living in, there is cause to smile and even, perhaps, do a teensy little happy dance.
Here is one such instance:
On Tuesday, in response to the gerrymandering fight that Republicans in Texas started, Virginia passed a measure redistricting the living 💩 of their state—making ten of its eleven districts Democratic.*
As a way to express appreciation to her constituents, 82-year-old Senator Louise Lucas posted this.
And all I have to say is… more of this energy, please! 😍😍😍

One of my lovely readers, Carolynspet, shared a ritual that she performs that is so unbelievably awesome, I had to pass it on to you.
I urge you to share it with your friends who may not be into magick or woo-woo, because the symbolism still works, and it feels naughty in the best possible way.
Write down the name of someone you want removed from power on a strip of paper1 and throw it in the trash. If you’re like me and that list is looooong, just write all their names on your trash can liner with a Sharpie.
Then, drink to the image of their names decomposing in the dark alongside all the other garbage…
SO GOOD, amiright?

*Of course, because we live in the worst timeline imaginable, this got struck down by the Virginia Supreme Court because… reasons 🙄
